From BMW to Mitsubishi?!

Today I traded in my full bolt on 335i that was pushing almost 430 rwhp. The Evo has been my dream car since I started following Ricebox. Power wise I feel a huge downgrade, but I'm coming from a tuned and modded car inline 6 to a bone stock 4 cylinder. I do not know much about these cars yet, but I plan on converting my fueling system to e85 and removing my cat asap.

Anyone have input on that? Can I go full e85 with a tune without other bolt on modifications?

I purchased an 08 Evo X MR with 34,000miles

I just sold my 2012 wrx hatch into a 2010 EVO Mr. car has a few mods in it though and pushing 328hp, so conservative and i compared it to my friend's stock 335xi with tune and the acceleration felt similar, but handling definitely feels stabler on the EVO.

And can't give any input to your question about E85 though.

For E85 you will need bigger fuel injectors and a fuel pump minimum. I would suggest also getting a wideband installed and if you really want the bells and whistles an Ethanol content analyzer. I would also suggest a 3-port boost controller while you are at it since your going to have to get it tuned anyway.

Everything is so much cheaper on this platform! I'm in love.

I have the chance to drive my friends E92 tuned with JB4, the N54 engine is definitely stronger and pulls harder, you won't get that with the 4 cylinder turbo, stock turbo falls flat towards redline. From engine point of view it is a downgrade, however my friends 335i is throwing 3 CEL's and blowing white smoke at idle along with rough idling, something you won't miss on the 4B11T.

you'll miss the refinement in the bmw, but the Evo should be a bit more reliable. To hit 430whp in a MR, you'll have to do a turbo like the FP Red at the least with all supporting mods, as well as upgraded clutches for the SST. Not a cheap proposition. On the up side, it'll handle better.
