I was always happy with the Carbotech 1521's as I don't track. The more aggressive the pad the louder and dustier they will be.

This is the easiest way to see the breakdown of each one - http://www.ctbrakes.com/brake-compounds.asp#4 Choose depending on how you intend to drive it. For me I went with the 1521's as if I was going to the track I would get a much more aggressive pad and change it out before I went to the track. I think having two sets of pads for specific purposes make the most sense.

Akebono's have been good to me before.

Posi Centric Ceramics maybe?

And do I have to change rotors each time like the dealer says? Centric ok for rotors?

Thanks.
If you're talking about Centric Posi-Quiet, don't do it! Had it for a wrx (brembo swap) and it gave less brake feel, and did not work well in cold conditions.

I recommend Hawk HPS for daily. No noise, less dust and just a little bit less bite than Hawk HP+

Nice. Thanks for the heads up. Its weird that there doesn't seem to be a real consensus in Evo land in which way to go for normal daily drivers. Every other car I've owned had a go to. Akebono has been good to me in the past, I think I may go that route.. but I'm going to check out the Hawk HPS for reviews. Thanks again.

Im kind of stuck in this area as well.. Ive been driving with track pads for the past several years, and ran all sorts of combinations.. Currently the car is running Hawk DTC60 front and rear.. The noise on the street has put me to a point that I don't want to drive it on the street... So I am trying to find a decent, NO NOISE rotor and pad combo... Dust doesn't bother me.. Im used to it, but the noise has got to stop... Please realize that I am used to having braking power when I need it so I don't want to go from DTC60 to stock.... Any Ideas??

What's wrong with Girodisc SS or Ferodo 2500?

I use Carbotech XP10s on my weekend only evo and they are most certainly not quiet, they are insanely loud if you don't take it to a track day and get them real hot on a regular basis - which of course i try to do as much as possible! Even the bob cats squeal a good amount. I love the XP10s though and my car is so loud that I don't care about the squeal at all.
