Cp-e 4" intercooler question

So ive been offered an insane deal on a 4" cp-e intercooler. Only issue is i can't find any info on the intercooler. It looks like a solid piece but i cant find a single picture of the internal fin design or density. I also cant find any data logs to support efficiency. If anyone has any experience with this intercooler please let me know.

I'd imagine companies keep some of that info pretty close. This paper explains how/why CP-e gets their information and how they verify the results. Safe to assume they apply this theory to all of their intercoolers.

If you're looking for a baseline to compare it to I'd say the intercooler from AMS sets the standard for high volume and flow - just have to ask yourself "how good of a deal *is* it?

edit* I personally use an intercooler from Sheepey since they use a core from CSF.

I like the weight they list on it. Shipping weight or otherwise I don't know.

Thank you for the response. I actually read this document after i made my post. I really want to see if someone in the evo community could provide feedback. I am just stumped as to why such a solid looking piece has no foothold in the evo community.

Oh and as far as the deal goes im talking knock off ebayintercooler prices for a brand new in the box intercooler.

CP-e is pretty popular in the BMW and Mazda community - if I had to guess why they haven't really taken off around here it's because the market is saturated with options from ETS, AMS, HKS, ARC, STM, AEM, Blitz, Greddy, Mishimoto, Sheepey, just to name a few.

If you are in the market and are able to purchase a proven brand intercooler for a knock-off price then you'd be doing yourself a disservice to not jump on it... in my opinion. It's certainly not going to perform any worse than one made in china.
