Buying an evo x with over 60k miles

Should I be concerned that I'm looking to buy an evo X SE with the SST transmission that has over 60k miles but the 30 and 60 mile maintenance service has not been done? I did the SST service on my Ralliart at 30k miles, so I'm wondering if I should buy this car considering I would need to drive it 6 1/2 hours to get it back home.

Yes, you should be concerned about buying a used car with an expensive *** transmission that hasn't been serviced

I think the answer lies in the overall shape of the car, and most importantly... price. Money always talks. Extreme examples but if it's 25k... no. 5k... yes. You get what I'm saying.

It's also up to you if you're willing to invest the time to check it out/ buy it, if the price is right. You could drive/fly there and test drive it & make it home OK. You can also get there, test drive it and realize it has all sorts of issues you weren't told about.

Either way, keep a chunk of change handy for when you run into issues with the SST. But keep in mind, if the SST stuff was skipped out on... ask yourself, what other maintenance corners could have been cut as well? These cars (at least the GSR's) are quite reliable when maintained well. Maintained well, being the key point.

Only way to know is to drive it, see how the SST feels. And go drive a low mileage one, or one that has had the fluid changed. Technically, mitsu doesn't recommend changing it until 60k anyways. But def plan changing it right away if you pick it up.
