IIRC that drop was enough to a) require a roll center kit and b) put the bilsteins at more of a disadvantage to blow through the stroke.

Also which Swifts are we talking about here? There is Spec-R and Swift Sports. Both have different drops and different spring rates.
The H&R's are advertised (in inches) 1.4F/1.3R drop. I doubt that the MR puts them to an over 2" drop. The car isn't that much heavier.

The H&R's on our car aren't like "wow, the car is way low" compared to some other guys in Vegas that have Swift Spec R's on their GSR's.

As far as roll center kits, they only lower the pivot point about 5-6mm. Not really worth the money, especially for a street car.

Nah it wouldn't be a difference in weight. I just remember Perrin Performance starting to sell them and saying how much they dropped. Looking at old posts looks like 1.3 / 1.4 is standard. Guess I got them confused with the Eibachs.

The RCK wouldn't be needed for that minor of a drop. But it is needed for 2"+ drops ask it changes the geometry of the control arms.

Man I thought there was a reason it was stuck in my head... I had to look it up on H&Rs website. It was the coilovers they were selling that could drop "up to that".

Gotcha, yeah, I would never buy springs that go that low...LOL. I wouldn't even lower the car that much if it was on coilovers...ha

I really prefer the drop of the H&R springs on the MR tho but not sure why H&R has posted on their site "except for MR" while so many other members have had success installing them on there MR with no problems issues etc.

Please post some pics once everything is said and done with your Swifts ?

Also, are you going to get the WHITELINE FRONT ROLL CENTER ADJUSTMENT KIT (MITSUBISHI EVO 8/9/X) ?

I will for sure post up some pics of everything once its all said and done.... Springs should be here next week (coming from Cali ).

As for the WL setup, not just yet.... There are 104 EVO X members in my group here in chicago and most of us going to one guy for our suspension alignment and what have you. Its a full on meeting with the guy before he even looks at the car to dial in how we use the car and what we have planned moving forward. From there I will let him do his magic and if he feels that it would be a plus for my driving and how he needs to set up the car i will go ahead and get the WL kit. If not then ill spend the money somewhere else.

Also, you are welcome for the new thread. I know that are a lot of threads out there about subject such as this but they are old. Thats not to say they are not good however, a lot changes in just a few years so..... I encourage anyone to start a new thread on an old subject, there are a lot of newbies like myself that have come into the EVO world and want current info from current conversations. I know we will all get flack for it here and there but oh well!

Okay, so everything is in and the alignment has been completed. I can tell you that on the MR with Swift spec Rs i can get only my ring and pinkie finger in between the rear tire and fender. In the front it is the pointer and middle fingers, so the drop is very nice. Im going to let it settle for the next day or so before i post the picture to give it a full 3 days to sit....and clean the car a dirty b/c its been hellish weather here in Chicago and the car looks like a mess. The ride is also great and i notice a change in corners right away. I will admit that i would like to put a new sway bar in the rear to hold the back end flat a little more but im being picky at this point LOL. more to following this week for in depth pics
