Hello all, picked up a red FE sunday and Im gearing up to mod it. I had a stage 2 17 wrx before and was about to go e85 so im learning towards building e85/flex fuel ready.

So far I have on my list full ets tbe (catless, open dump) tial bov, grimspeed 3port, intake(not sure what brand, ams?), and I was thinking of fuel injectors / surge tank with pumps but Im not sure what sizes to get, i was thinking of a turbo later on so maybe I should get big enough for that so I wont have to replace em again

Is there any other mods I should add to the list? Im shooting for 400 whp and then prolly 450 with turbo later.

Does the FE have the control arm air scoops for the brakes?

You won't need a surge tank. Walbro 450 and 1100cc injectors will support E85 at that power level. Also the Tial is probably money better spent elsewhere

till qrj

3.5 intercooler and intercooler piping

1050 idx would be your best bet and a walboro 450. if you plan on doing corn.

It's YOUR Evo FE so do whatever you want but I would just chill out and enjoy the car STOCK for a little while. If you have the money to not only mod the car, but cover repairs (blown turbo or engine), go for it. If not, I would just say to keep it stock or stock with moderate mods.

I live in AZ and it amazes me the number of people who buy brand new, shiny cars, take them and mod them and then are left with a messed up car that they still owe $25,000+ on that they can't drive because it needs a new motor.

Again, to each their own. If you have the $$$$ to play, knock yourself out. If this is your daily driver and you DON'T have the extra $$$$ laying around to pay for a major repair, I would just say to leave the mods alone. Because, depending on the dealership, as soon as you slap on mods (especially the ones you are referring to), flash the ECU, and some sh*t goes wrong with your car, they are going to refuse ANY warranty work. I drove my X stock (except for a CAI) until the warranty was up at 60,000 miles and then I modded it.

Either way, enjoy your Evo X and welcome to the forums.
