2008 Evo X Rough Idle

After I fill the car up with gas it idles very rough and even shuts off. Once I apply some throttle and drive it a mile it will not do it any more.

I just bought the car used and to be honest this is the only problem that I've noticed.

Thanks for the help

does it do these everytime you start the car and come to a stop or just when you first fill up?

Just when I fill up. If I don't keep the revs up it will die. And by the looks its for a very short time. May be a couple of minutes of drive and if I let it idle again it's gone.

Thanks

Does it have an open element filter? If so its most likely because when you shut the car off the engine bay gets pretty hot so when you first start it, it pulls in a bunch of hot air- hence the rough idle/stall.

The fix would be to raise your idle or use a stock airbox type filter.

Everything is stock in the engine bay. Not for long though. Anyways I will be getting the cobb tune and ams intake soon so we'll see it the issue persists. Then I would be worried.

Cheers
