15 evo x exhaust

I just ordered a titanium exhaust system for my 15 evo x. It was ordered from top speed. The exhaust comes with a test pipe and no cat or high flow cat. If I don't want to remove my cat, would I be able to just use this system as a cat back system and not install test pipe?

If I installed the full system, would I have a engine light for removing the cat and is there a way to clear the engine light?

thanks for the input- new to evo x modding. Had my car stock for a while, time to start playing.

You should be able to bolt up everything up to the stock cat assuming flange fitment is on point, but since you have the test pipe you might as well use it, you will not regret it. Probably one of the better exhaust mods for the Evo in my opinion. If the test pipe has an extended bung for the O2 sensor you should be fine and it shouldn't throw any CEL's.

My test pipe came with an extended bung and I haven't had any problems with CEL's.

I don't believe the TSP1 test pipe will have an extended rear 02 welded on - if you do use it, may want to look into getting an extension from Touge Factory like this:

thirty bucks or so and it'll keep that pesky CEL in the dark.

If you want the exhaust on with out the test pipe, it is totally fine.

You will have to get a tune for the test pipe also if you decide to put it on.

As mentioned above, test pipe, 3 port and tune is the best bang for your buck mod you can do.
