AntiSurge porting on stock turbo?
AntiSurge porting on stock turbo?
I'm all about maximizing the stock turbo (not turning it into an fp green or whatever), and i've done alot of readings on anti surge ports.
Aside from preventing Compressor surge, there's debate saying that a ported housing reduces spool on the low end by up to 500rpm, but can hold higher boost at the top end of the RPM due to a lower mass flow. My opinion is that this debate depends strictly on the size of the compressor.
Has anyone thought about this? I'm thinking of porting the stock evo x turbo for that high end gain. Do you think on the stock turbo, higher end gains will be the outcome?
P.S. Theres alot of metal on the compressor side to make a good port therefore do-able.
