Clunking noise when parking. Evo X

Hey guys I will try to explain this to the best ability that I can. I recently purchased a 2012 X GSR and it came with coils, intake and exhaust.

Anyways when I first got the car and loaded it with 5 passengers there would be a weird clunking noise on the front passenger side of the car but it soon went away and never came back. Now the weather has started to get cold and now when I am parking I can hear sort of a clunking noise or something like a spring being compressed and then being shot out of compression if that makes sense.

It happens when I am parking when turning both ways doesn't matter which way I am turning but it will never do it on the same side twice (If I turn right and it makes the noise, it wont make the noise again until I turn the wheel to the opposite side.)

I've been doing some research and it doesn't look like its the cv axle because there is no noise when going straight or slightly turning only when I turn about 50+% turning radius. Some people have been saying strut mounts but I am not sure. Is there a way to check if my strut mount is bad? The coilovers on the car are pretty messed up because the previous owner didn't maintain them properly during winter it seems like. I don't know I just don't want to end up losing my wheel on the highway or something. ANY HELP PLEASE SORRY FOR LONG THREAD.

Maybe the coils in your coilovers binding and popping?

Yeah, that's pretty common with coil-overs. My Fortune Auto coil-overs did the same thing until I purchased their radial bearing upgrade for the upper mount. The spring binds up when parking and eventually pops free making a pop/clunk noise.

if you're going forward to back or back to forward there is a small click from the brake pads that happens as they adjust to the different motion and lock differently in the caliper. Past that I'd check your endlinks and swaybars while the suspension is loaded to ensure they are tight.

Hey guys thanks for the help. Still haven't been able to figure it out but I found a video of another car doing the exact same thing. Here is a link to the video:

My Evo IX had this issue and I found out the coilover ride height were way off and any speed bump or dip it would make the bang! I took it to a shop for alignment and he looked at it and said here is your problem... length of the two front coils were way off! made the adjustments and never heard the noise again.
