Recaro lever dangerously close to the Planted bracket

I'm in the process of installing my Recaro Speed on top of a Planted bracket and Recaro sliders.

I checked everything two dozen times and the seat and rails and slider handle and Planted bracket can only fit one way.

And the way they fit, the slider handle is pretty much right on top of the Planted, to the point where I think my finger would get squished between them if I slid all the way back. Anyone know if I'm doing something obviously wrong here?

Some pics below. This is with the seat all the way back. I won't drive like that but for the situations when you want to pull the seat all the way back, I might forget about this and get my finger caught.

The brackets are somewhat universal so it's most likely just a poor fitment for your specific Recaro choice. If it was me, I'd see if I can move the adjuster forward on the seat itself or I'd look into having a 1" steel tab/paddle welded to the center of the adjuster lever to grab on or I'd break out the ole 3D printer at home and make one I could zip tie on.

Good to know that it's just a normal fitment issue. Was afraid I put it together wrong

I have a mig welder myself, might see about adding some round bar to it.
