ST Top Mounts don't fit correctly.

Hi guys first post here;

I fitted a set of ST XTA's this week to my X but the top mounts don't line up and I can't access the top bolt to adjust the camber without removing the struts.

You can see in the pics they don't line up at 90 degrees to the wing and the bolt is shrouded by the body of the vehicle.

If I rotate them, they either run off line in an alternative direction or run parallel to the wing.

I'm guessing this is incorrect and I can't see that they can be installed correctly??

I've emailed KW to see if they can help but I'm not expecting anything back until next week so thought I'd ask for advice on here too.

Am I being dumb or have I been sent the wrong bits??

First, Get the wheels off the ground.

Just un-do the top 3 mounting nuts (& gently lower the strut) rotate the camber plate so the camber slot is parallel to the front of car

By the Way, Welcome aboard

Thanks 😁 but it doesn't fit parralel to the front in any position, I know it's not easy to visualise but if you use the bolts as a reference you can see it won't line up. It will fit paralel to the wing however.

Not sure if I follow your comment about it being parallel to the wing

The slot should line up like this:

That's my point, it can't physically line up in this way.

If you look at the slot in the picture, 2 of the bolts line up with it to the top and right.

As no 2 bolt holes run paralel to the front the slot can't either. The holes for the bolts are in the wrong position for it to fit this way.

Pn 182 65 817 - Says Lancer Evo X on the box.

I can only think they have the wrong top mounts on.

I checked their website & the part no. seems proper

http://www.stsuspensions.com/product...-18265817.html

The install instructions are on that page as well. Wonder if their handed (left & right specific)?

Anyway, sorry about the mis-fit. What a PITA

Massive pita, instructions came with shocks too, not usually my style but I read them before installation.

Both top mounts are the same so can't be handed.

I can only assume they are wrong mounts or less likely I'm the first person to notice.

Guess I'll have to wait and see what KW say.
