Caliper repaint cost?

my local performance shop quoted me $700 to repaint al 4 calipers with automotive specific paint—it seemed incredibly high so I wanted your feedback. Granted I am changing the color as well.

thanks!

Automotive paint is not sufficient- you need high temperature paint. I did 4 calipers on one of my cars for around 90$, and I bought too much paint.

You might want to look into powder coating, I don't know how much it goes for but I've heard the results are really good.

for that much you... call Detective Coating in VA.. they have a trade program where you send in yours and they have sets in stock where they powdercoat them to the color of your choice. And this includes seals rebuild and for less than what you paid. Repainting is an inferior way of redoing them. Especially if you are gonna pay someone to do it. PC is a better option. They did mine and very happy with them.

My local powder coater quoted me $50 a caliper. Seals from Giro Disc were $165 shipped to rebuild the caliper. $8 for ebay Thermal Brembo stickers. Alternatively you could ship all 4 calipers out to a place (i fail to remember their name at this time but have discussed them in another thread) that will disassemble, paint and rebuild them for $670.
