Key gets stuck in the ignition even though car is in park

I have 2014 MR and for some time my key tend to get stock in the ignition even though the car is in park ( i have the old fashion key). It takes few time to turn the car on and off for the key to come out. Is there any fix for that? Thanks all responses are appreciated.

I don't know if it's a long trip to a Mitsu dealership but take it in if you can. Don't mess with it trying to figure it out yourself. As much as I hate dealerships for little things, take advantage of your warranty.

Last time I went to the dealership they voided my warranty for interior because of the window tints. The offered to fix the door switch for $250 plus cost of parts. I got new switch from mitsubishiparts for $20 and fixed in 10 min myself. I can already hear the speech how my cat back caused too much vibrations, air freshener was too strong and mudflaps are not aerodynamic.

I had this issue happen in an Acura TL I previously owned. I had to wiggle the steering wheel while fiddling with the ignition too. That seemed to work.
