Hi All. I've installed a walbro 255 in my 2014 GSR. At first it started right up a couple of different times and now it won't. It just cranks. I've added some more gas as i did the install with it kind of low but no change. I've taken out the relay also for a shake test and i don't hear anything loose. The relays that i have are the black panasonic's. I'm definitely green when it comes to working on the evo so any help/direction is appreciated! Thanks

 

put a meter on the electrical connector at the tank. Then observe while someone else cranks the engine. You should see voltage at the connector, hopefully at least 10+ volts (cranking causes voltage sag). If you have power there, then your issue is downstream, if not then its upstream. This is assuming your problem is related to the pump or install and not some other unrelated issue.

Hey! question. The ecu-->fuel connector has 5 pins (3 top 2 bottom). I have a multimeter. What pin(s) do i need to touch to get a proper reading of voltage?

hose kinked, failed or came off in tank

 

Yep razorlab was correct. The clamp i used on the hose on the underside of the feed line failed and the hose came off. So we're up and running again. Although this time i took the assembly out i may have done something to the float as my gas gauge is telling me i'm out of fuel which i'm not? Thanks for the help!

 

Yea its easy to break the float on the fuel pump housing. Since its reading no fuel that means yours is broken.

A new fuel gauge unit is affordable. GAUGE UNIT FUEL TANK - 1718A053

Order a new one from the dealership or online. Should be about $32-35
