Question Working my way for a bigger tuburo

Hey guys, I have owned an evo x for 2 years now and recently started modifying this year. I am learning as I go so bear with me. I have got full bolt ons and grimspeed 3 port, tuned by amsperformance (stx400). I'm going to upgrade my fuel system for a bigger turbo and I was wondering if you could get it E tuned because I live no where near to a tuner, the closest one is about a 16 hour drive.. If so, who would you recommend?

Another question, would you guys recommend getting cams before the bigger turbo and get it retuned or to wait for the turbo kit and do everything at once?

*I realized I spelt turbo wrong* hahaha

Personally, I'd wait to do it all at once. It'll save money in the long run and you won't have to worry about etuning the car.

Might think about talking to AMS. if you have their 400 kit already, they might sell you the upgrades for the 500 kit that has a bigger turbo and is 500+ hp....

Both are good ideas. Considering how much AMS is offering for their STX500 package, wouldn't it be cheaper for me to buy the parts separately?

Only difference I can see between the 400 and 500 kits off there website part wise is the stx500 package comes with Garrett gtx30r series turbo w/inlet pipe, id 1000cc injectors, and a dw65 fuel pump. Wouldn't be hard to purchase those items separately.

Yes you can. I believer you can get all that from MAPerformance.com

Very true... I was thinking that AMS might help with the tuning issue that will still be on the table. They recommend dyno tuning at those numbers however maybe they know someone they trust to help tune closer to where hes at..
