Hi Guys,
i Just install a VLS boost gauge
when the car at idle is van at about -20psi which is normal,
but only 13PSI at WOT
i read some treads said its normal, some said should be around 18-20
i m so confused, my car is stock , only got a hks catback exhaust.
my question is that a normal PSI on a stock EVO

It should be at or just below 20 psi. Are you sure the gauge units are in PSI?
Any boost leaks (piping changes, engine work that would have disturbed them)
I don't think that's normal, if it's running OK and not spewing black smoke I'd bet it's the gauge or how it's installed.
The catback should have little change on indicated boost, if anything the easier flowing exhaust might increase your turbo performance.

 

13-14psi is wastegate pressure. Stock PSI is 20-21psi
