How Does The Stock Alarm Work?
I have an 2008 evo x GSR. I took the car to a place to get the shocks looked at because of a knocking sound. Anyway, when I went to pick the car up the lady in the office gave me the key and said the car is parked over the road, outside a gym.
I went over, tried to open up the car with the remote on the key and it wouldn't open. So I opened the car up manually.
I then went to start the car up and it was completely dead. I went back over to the office and told them and one of the workers came back to my car with jumpers and started the car.
The worker asked if there were any lights on etc. but there weren't and it was parked there in the morning and I picked it up in the afternoon.
When I started up the car the alarm went for a little bit and then stopped and I drove away.
As I was driving I was wondering if someone had tried to steal it and the car had just shut down.
Is that how the stock alarm in the evo x might work?

The odd thing is that the car was dead. Nothing. No lights went on when I started. After it was jumped I drove it home. A 20 minute drive. I haven't driven it since then, for a week or more. Started it up and it started no problem. No signs of a flat battery. Just seems really odd.
