Question regarding stroker kit upgrade

Hi all,

At some point down the road I am looking to do a stroker kit on my 4b11t, however I have some questions and am wondering what is the best way to approach this scenario.

I currently have 212,000KMs on my engine, would putting a stroker kit with this block be a recipe for diaster? At this point am I better off getting a fresh block or is it really only the pistons and stuff that matters? (which the stroker kit will replace)

Any information/help is much appreciated, thanks.

Josh

As long as the structural integrity of the block isn't compromised. Like a crack or a hole going thru it, then I say go ahead stroke it and sleeve it.

How much stress have you been putting on the stock block? If you've been pushing 400-500hp for 100k of that 212k, you might be better off building a lower-mileage block

Why wouldn't you just re-sleeve the block and build it after that? Your going to put what you want into it anyways so to me it just makes since.
