Toda 2350 kit or other stroker

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with this stroker kit. Any idea of price and performance. I am talking about the complete kit with rods.

Any Advise.

Also which else kit is good and not too expensive. I have a hole in my block sadly

I am looking for complete stroked short block. Or preped short block

Thanks

stay away from Toda. Your going to have "issues" any of the shops listed by other members will be much better.

What sort of issues

I thought they were good tuners. I have a JDM Evo VIII.

Please let me know as I have almost finalized the deal for a Toda 2350 built short block.

Thanks

Buschur gets my vote. I love it, no issues, runs strong.

Do some research on the TODA upgrade, I forgot what magazine did a write up on it but;

They had to do some machining to get the stuff to work right.

I have been doing alot of research on toda. Have not yet been able to find anyone having any problems with it. Machining for me wud not be an issue as i am buying a short block with toda stroker in it.

please let me know if i will have any other issues. I am aiming for 500 hp max

Well both my reasons have already been stated.
Rods are weaker than stock
Pistons have needed machining to fit correctly

Just search thread titles for toda, and you should find plenty of info. It's not terrible, but if you want more power than the stock block can offer, look elswhere.

My personal recommendation would be Buschur, but AMS, RRS, Pruven etc. would be fine as well, and are priced similarily.

The Toda kit is junk. I bought it about three years ago when nothing else was available. The pistons are nice but the rods and crank are OEM. I actually had to replace the rods with Pauter rods because the Toda rods were so weak.

Use AMS or Buschur like everyone is saying. You'll be very disappointed if you go with Toda.
