Wow you're keeping the beast alive! Looks fantastic - and man I miss singapore - got to visit there a few times when I was working with an international company. Send me some chili crab!
Yeah, it's had A LOT more work done through covid and I am now back at track slowly dialing it in and turning it up.
Haha haven't had chili crab for a few months!
Few other pics of m new brakes etc
ps. I have since lowered the front splitter (as you will notice on the previous pics), trust me when I say 16kg spring rate and splitters 55mm of the ground do not work when braking haha
No they are lines to recirculate the oil through the trans to ensure maximum oil coverage and lubrication. You can however add a cooler to the gearbox but for time attack I only see 130-140deg max in temps.
This sequential box is considered cheap compared to al the other ones out there and I have to say - it has handled a lot of abuse, 700hp clutchless shifts up and down (and a rev cut of 8,800rpm). dropped the oil yday and zero metal on he magnet and in the oil, 100% solid box - impressed.
Still going strong with this build! I have since stripped car, gone for a chromoly weld in cage plus seam weld chassis. Custom fuel tank and removed as much weight as I could.
car now sitting at 2,940lbs wet weight including all the aero. Have more work to be done and can bring it down another 50lbs.
Have you considered upgrading to a 9274 center cartridge? You can make more power while retaining your current compressor and turbine housings.
yes I did consider but I had bad experience going from 8374 to an 8474, more lag and not much more top end. I figured it would be the same.
I also thought the “4” series is more suited to the bigger capacity engines like skyline. they also have less boost tolerance (fins). Have you had any good experience with this turbo?
by the way, I make so much power that I haven’t even run full boost on a run at track yet! It’s fast..
If you haven't already, consider a set of SSB Designs billet knuckles and front lower arms form @Dallas J to correct front roll center and geometry. It will help front end grip tremendously.
