Fuel Pressure Increase after unplugging MAF

Something odd is occurring.

When I unplug my maf my fuel pressure spikes to about 60PSI.

This is extremely confusing to me, as I have an aftermarket FPR, so the fuel pressure should remain constant no matter what I would think.

The fuel pump is a 450, fuel pressure reg is Fuel lab.

I already took apart my entire fuel system and I couldn't find any clogs.

Thanks!

When you unplug the maf the ECU default to a set load value, and that load value triggers the hi voltage relay for the pump and runs it at full power. Fuel pressure goes up because it still overruns the siphon in the tank.

Why are you unplugging your MAF?

This is what a buddy and myself suspected, but I wanted to be sure.

I was trying to debug a few issues and noticed it.

I believe all the issues are resolved after removing the fuel hangar and making sure there were no kinks and also replacing the filter sock on my pump.

I only really even noticed the pressure spike because the car stalled out from the extra fuel when i swore normally i could unplug it and it would idle fine.

Thanks for the info, it was driving me crazy not being 100% sure esp after completely redoing everything haha.

Thanks again!
