PLEASE HELP - car randomly stops accelerating
So I have a 2012 x with a borla exhaust, BOV, and an aftermarket intercooler. For the past 2 years the car has been running perfectly with no issues. All of a sudden the car has had this problem where it stops accelerating. Around 2k rpm and upward, even when barely accelerating, it will accelerate a little bit and then stop accelerating even if my pedal is hitting the floor. I have to completely step off the pedal and start accelerating again for it to accelerate more until it stops again. No way I'm overboosting. It happens in all gears except 1st. No codes are showing up so not sure what to do. This also doesn't happen each time I drive it probably happens 2/3 times I drive. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all. Any ideas??????
Check your fuel pump relay. This is exactly how mine was acting with a blown relay. They are not expensive and you should be able to swap out any of the other matching relays to test it....unless they are garbage too. It would be a good idea to get the updated orangeish/yellowish ones anyway.
