Hello ladies and fellas,

This is completely out of left field, but I was wondering if anyone has ever customized their ignition knob on the the FAST ignition on their Evo X’s?

Frankly, I think the stock one looks and feels super cheap. Maybe someone has done something unique or cool to their’s?

I was thinking of maybe contacting someone who could design something in CAD and 3D print something in aluminum. Like this one that’s sold out:

Yeah, I've never seen an aftermarket one in person. I've seen the TGS piece but it's pricey for what it is.

I've also seen these but they're just 3D printed versions of the stock piece. Makes it seem like a 3D printed custom piece could be pretty doable.

 

I don’t see too many options, which is interesting. The TGS one looks nicer than these, but it would be cool to do a custom knob design e.g. multi-spoke or less bulky shape. I’ll need to keep digging or find someone locally who would want to do a fun small bespoke project like this haha.

 

A carbon fiber knob would be pretty sweet personally.

 

That would be perfect actually. Especially if you have other CF trim in the interior and exterior. I wonder if anyone would be willing to make one.

 

I contacted RexSpeed about a carbon knob and they said not really interested at this time taking on this project due to current work loads.

 

I keep mine in my pocket and don't see it for weeks at a time, don't pay any attention to how it looks.

 

that’s too bad. It would have been cool to get one created especially if anyone has wrapped their interior trim with cf.
