Drivers side interior leak

Anyone know what is causing this leak? I got so fed up I even cut the carpet up (it was growing mold) I found what looks like a drain plug that was lose near the gas pedal, tightened it back on and the leak continues 😠 arrow is pointing to plug, puddle is circled.

You could always do a simple water test w/the garden hose. Spray that grommet w/water from the underside. If the plug is still leaking, remove the grommet, put some RTV sealant around the grommet & then re-install

There are also other body grommets underneath, i believe, that could be the cause & leaking up through the interior body at the floor pan?

probably leaking from underneath then, Ive already ran the car through the carwash, and put the hose all over the front end and it wont leak…. But it will leak when the car is sitting -_-

If you have a sunroof, check the drains. Otherwise, a clogged door drain (at the bottom of the door on the inside could create water intrusion. Check the cowl drains as well. Lastly, the HVAC drain can cause backups but given the time of year and your location this seems least likely. It's possible a grommet under the car isn't sealing anymore but that's a good deal of water for a less-than-perfect seal on the floorpan to cause.

kinda late here but it could be your AC evap or whatever is inside the car and not in the hole to the outside...same thing happened to me...couldn't figure out what it was until I went up under the dash and saw it hanging out inside the car.
