Final drive gear confusion

Final drive gear confusion
As I understand, here are the gear/final ratios for the GSR and MR
MR:
1 - 3.655
2 - 2.368
3 - 1.754
4 - 1.322
5 - 1.008
6 - 0.775
Final - 4.062
GSR:
1 - 2.857
2 - 1.950
3 - 1.444
4 - 1.096
5 - 0.761
Final - 4.687
I've seen people buying lower 4.18 diff gears for the GSR (4.687 stock) for better highway RPM. I have the GSR transmission, and the MR (it's from a Ralliart actually, non AYC) transfer case (4.062, from what I'm told). My car hits 3K RPM at 60mph. What am I missing?
