So ever since i got my car, 9/10 times the tail lights will cut on fine when i start my vehicle. the other 1/10 times the passenger tail light doesnt cut on but the brake light will work. I've even replaced the tail lights with vland taillights and still face the same issues and i've checked all the connections and they seem to be fine. What could be the cause of this issue? Its annoying because when I get into my car to drive, I'll sometimes have people tell me my tail light is out, and i cant tell unless i start my vehicle and get out to check.
The exterior lights are controlled by the body control module. The tail lights are controlled separately so it could be anything from an issue in the ETACS ECU to wiring out from there. I somewhat suspect an ECU issue since it will work if you cycle it but I'm not an expert on all things electrical.

I've only seen one other post with the exact same problem as I have but there was never a solution to it. My best guess would be the current that's sent to the aftermarket taillights tripping out the ECU, maybe the only solution is to switch back to OEM taillights.
