I just purchased a 2015 evo x last week. the car is a keyless entry, but the dealer only had a regular cheap key, the one black, plain and simple. no buttons, no nothing. If I purchase a keyless oem new one, will I be able to programm it by my self using those videos on youtube? since I already have a programmed one. if not, how much will the dealer charge? I live in Bronx New york. is there a cheap place to do this?

 

Dealer quoted me around 100 to just program a FAST key, in Florida.

 

I have two keys with one extra programmed by me.
If I did it then You can do it with the YouTube videos.

 

You have to have 2 keys already programmed and present in the car to program the third. Otherwise you need software, a new key and MMCodeWriter with the correct addon can do it.

 

Thanks a lot. I bought an OEM one off Ebay for about $60. Paid $75 to Locksmith to program it, and now I have at least one key with which I can luck, unlock, and start the car while the key is in my pocket. I will buy a second one later on and do the same thing, so I can have the complete pair.
