Evo X stuck in park sometimes SST

Am I just an idiot? 2010 Evo X gets stuck in park sometimes and I have to let off the brake and do it again a few times to get it to go to drive. No codes on the dash. Is a sensor wearing out or am I doing something wrong?

Could be the brake pedal switch getting flaky.

Was a failing brake switch that I had replaced

You're not doing anything wrong. It's most likely a slightly worn brake sensor or a minor solenoid issue. Easy to diagnose and inexpensive to fix. It has nothing to do with the reprogramming or your driving.

Hey,

I have an SST also, if you are trying to turn off the car, sometimes the "PARK" gets stuck and I have to push it forward in order for it to fully turn off the vehicle.

Hope this helps.
