I’m new here, I’d really appreciate any advice please. I recently bought my first Evo X GST FQ360 from a dealership in England. After I bought it I found that the engine numbers don’t match (logbook, service record including registration doc and sales invoice) all show the original engine number, but the engine in the car has a different number. I’m obviously concerned as the service book now doesn’t match the engine. Dealership didn’t tell me about this (assumed) engine swap, no paperwork given apart from the above mentioned. Basically feel as if I’ve paid good money for a car and turns out engine maintenance and condition etc can’t even be backed up.
Am I overthinking this or am I rightfully pissed off ? Dealership not being helpful at all.
Has anyone on here owned the car or knows someone who did who might be able to shed some light on the history? All garages who’ve serviced the car know nothing.
