Idles like crap!!!!

My Cel constantly comes on and my car is idling like crap. I checked all the upper IC pipes everything is ok. I have taken it to the dealer four times, they "reflashed it" or so they say, and also did an ignition re-learn...I don't know what to do..maybe I should turn it over to the guys at AMS..its just gonna cost. Anybody with the same problem? LEMON LAW!!!!!!!!

Try another dealer if there is one in the area. Dont mod the car until the problem is fixed.

ya, I'd go back to stock, pull the battery cable for 30 minutes and see if that clears it up.

What else have you done to your car?

Is the car stock still? If not what mods? What code is it throwing when your CEL is on? If you are unsure if they actually flashed the car, go back there next time and make them check the car for updated flashes, you can stand there and watch the computer and see if it shows updates or not when they connect it to MEDIC. Is it just idling poorly from a cold start or all the time?

We need more information to help you...

mine only idles like crap bc of the short ram and AC on at the same time. Do you have a short ram on your car? If you do its cuz of the heat from the radiator. Some intakes come with a metal piece to try and block some of this hot air.

Make sure if you are using an after market cold/ram air intake that the MAF (MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR) sensor has the required height flange like OEM.

I purchase an intake, installed it and the car ran like ^%@#!! Contacted the dealer of the product and filled him in with what was happening (same symptoms) and after a few weeks and redesign they found that the MAF sensor mounting flange on the intake pipe had inadequate spacing causing the CEL to lite up.

Check the line from the fuel pressure regulator to intake manifold. (mine poped out on a stock car)

Dealership couldn't figure out why my car was idling so rough. (I found it by accident)

I have crappy idle also but with no cel codes brought it for a reflash .... But now instead of just a crappy idle below 800 rpm it jumps to 1200 rpm and tries to level itself out. I hear the Cobb ap solves this problem but I haven't purchase it yet. Btw I've only had my x a week!
