ALL cars with DRL have a relay in the main headlight fuse box. We have to install them on everycar that we sell to Canada or another country that has mandatory DRL rules. You can take a 20 year old Cavalier and put the relay in place, ta da, DRL. I don't know where it is in the EvoX, but it's there. If you can find it, remove it, add a blank relay to complete the circuit, and your DRL will be gone.

inside the main fuse box there is a "finned" relay. that is the headlights.

i took a normal relay ( that is what you see with the 4 wires connected to it )
..and placed it in an open area of the fuse box.....it is NOT plugged in.

trigger wire goes to "parking light" hot wire

green just goes to chassis ground.

the other two will plug in to the two slots that the stock relay was plugged in to.

any auto parts store.

get a "regular" 30A plug in automotive headlight relay.

use good, stranded ( 12 or 13 guage ) wire.

get a few crimp-on male and female spade connectors.

finned relay is removed to do this "fix".

once you are done and put the fuse box cover on , no one can see anything.
