See this bro. This is a how 2 I did. Should be the same for the X I assume. This will get the GSR wing off, since I guess since I just read that the MR does not have tape

I did that on my 9. Popped it up, losted it and the wing slid across the lid leaving a down to metal trail.

The tape isn't that strong. Just use a solid even pull and it will free itself with the bolts off. And yes, definitely be aware of the bolt that sticks out.

Got mine off. There is a rectangular plastic cover in the center hole on the trunk lid that holds a plastic peg on the spoiler. Can't get it off.

Any trick to this?

G'day to all... does anyone know and have step by step instructions on how to remove the evo x boot spoiler?... in particular the plastic section on the underside of the spoiler?.. I'm thinking of colour coding it, however I have no clue how to remove the plastic section... any and all help would be much appreciated.. Thanks in advance!

I went out and bought some medium weight fishing line and goo gone spray....spray the goo gone into the gaps around the bottom of the spoiler, while working the fishing line back and forth to lift up the tape. Takes a few minutes on each side, but nearly guarantees a clean removal once you're done.

Then goo gone the residue once it's off. My only question is a +1 to the plastic tabs, I don't want to pry them out. I used white vinyl from decaldriveway to cover the holes...it looks good for the time being and will hold me off until i get a WW painted Do-Luck trunk....
