I tried the orange wire to the green wire, and for some reason my boost gauge wont turn. As soon as i put the negative on the battery back on Its on.

And When i start my car, the boost gauge reads 15 inHg and then when i accelerate at WOT the gauge shoots to the max of 25psi and I'm a stock x with a tbe no mbc

What could be the problem?

thanks

What color wires did you have coming off your sensor and what color wires did you have coming off your gauge?

I had a black, green, red off my sensor and Black, red, white, orange off my guage.

I linked the white to green for information
black on the sensor was a ground
and red i didnt even tap into a fuse

for my gauge:
white went to the green,
black went into a ground on the floor
red tapped into my cig lighter
orange isnt used

Mine came with a harness with plugs on either end. Other than splicing "extensions" into the sensor wires I didn't have to do anything. One end plugged directly into the sensor and the other end plugged directly into the back of the gauge. I especially didn't have to connect any of the sensor wires directly to ground. This is the gauge I have http://prosportgauges.com/amber-whit...ost-gauge.aspx If you have a different one, the wiring may be different.

I know you're frustrated, like I was, so feed me some more info (maybe some pics too) and I'll try my best to help.

***edit: After looking closer at the above link and noticing the picture lower on the page that shows the hardware...

https://01f6bbb.netsolstores.com/ima.../peakboost.jpg

...my sensor looks nothing like that one. If that is the sensor you have then I probably can't help.

***edit again: my sender looks like this one...

To all of you who can't get the guage to turn, read the sheet- it explains exactly how to do it. If you follow that, you can't f it up. If you want it to switch between amber/ white or green/white whenever you want with headlights on or off, a 2-way toggle switch has to be wired in.

so im having this same problem. i replaced the sender and it didnt go away. i tested my gauge in another car and it works fine. i checked my wiring 10 times over. and cant find a problem anyway. i know the ground is working fine because it shares a ground with my wideband. i have the same style as the original poster. the plug from the sender ends at another plug that goes right into the gauge.

what i dont understand is it worked fine for a good week or so and then hasnt worked right since. first it would do this once in a while and then work fine and then stop working and then work fine and then eventually just quit all together and keeps beeping and flashing continuously i just been driving around with it unplugged looking at a dark gauge. it pisses me off so much.

and i really want the prosport boost gauge because i think it matches best to the stock gauges in color and font and all.

sensor is bad, send it back to your seller, i had a bad sensor doing exactly the same. boost to max and alarm on all the time, or buy a newone,
check your installation were you are conecting the cables to the sensor , it has to face down, to avoid rain drops, if any drop or water goes to the sensor plug it will damage the sensor. they didn't design too well that sensor

My boost gauge stays on all the time unless I remove the ground... What can I do? I have the red connected to the door lock. I changed it up and connected it to another power source and the gauge was turning off and on with ignition but was reading incorrectly...

Any ideas?
