difficult to remove oem fog lights?

im about to buy an evo x mr, but those stupid fog lights need to come off. the car looks so much better without them plus who needs any weight that far in front of the axles. my question is are they molded into the bumper for usdm cars? i dont see them on the jdm models, are they just an add on thing for us fatass accessory loving americans? the trunkmounted sub and passenger floor mounted sub also need to come out but i assume thats pretty easy. anyone with a thread on removing weight from these cars? cars are like people, the less pudgy ones are better.

An easy way to solve a few of your concerns is to buy a GSR.... just my $.02

Take off the front bumper, remove a few screws and the assembly comes out.

Manufacturer Curb Wt- GSR-3,545 MR 3,594

Heavy anyway you look at it. There is a thread titled how to lose wt on the other site. Very helpful info there and one of the vendors sell aftermarket pieces that of less weight!

I was looking for mesh for where the foglights are also. I know there is a site that sells them for the evo x, i just can't seem to remember the link either.

I'm in exactly the same situation. About to buy an MR, and can't wait to get rid of those ugly fogs. They look like an afterthought, and block the transmission/oil coolers.

Anyone know where I can score some wire covers? The Ralliart ones are nice, but the price is funnier than season two of Chapelle's Show.

I got the JDM RS ducts which basically delete the foglights with surround trim and the mesh which matches the mesh in front of the intercooler. Got it from japanparts.com

bad picture but hopefully you get the idea.
