Tired of sanding. Few more pics. Gonna let it set inside today and dry. The passenger pillar needs 1 more coat to match.

Will install tomorrow if its not cold and raining. Still need to order boost and A/F gauges!

nice job man, fiberglass can be real tricky when you first start using it,best thing to do is use scrap stuff to practice fg on till you get it down, best place to get fg from is a supplier, they got the goods, atleast with bondo you can always sand down or add more till you get it right, good job looks clean

Pull from top, there is a wire teather attached to top. Twist it sideways and it pull loose. Pull up on pillar and slight bend down to detach.

That turned out pretty good man. Nice. I am surprised there isnt any pod solutions for these cars yet... drives me nuts and I hate having my guages in my car without a nice looking mounting solution.

Yeah, waited as long as I could for vendors. Need to get a boost and A/F gauge installed before I do any other mods.

silly question time.
Does the airbag actually sit behind the a-piller? or is it only the symbol? Reason I ask is my mazdaspeed 3 and civic si both had the srs emblem on the a-piller, but the bag was above the window.
Cheers.

A-pillar at top. Deploys to side. A-pillar teathered with thick plastic band. You can't pull off a-pillar without removing this band.

that's cool, at least if the airbag deploys, the gauges will launch across the dash instead of right at your head.

seems to me that gauges mounted on the a-pillar would have no effect on the airbag deployment and the picture kindly ( or not so much so kindly) submitted by talon confirms that the airbag has little effect on the a-pillar.

and wow way to E-thug there Tallon perhaps you should try to contribute to the community in a positive manner? rather than just call people idiots, educate them.
