I haven't really paid attention to my new 2011 Evo X's tails but it's confirmed the blacked out housing "Ralliart" style tail lights are already installed on 2010/11 models now? This is good news for me :P

 

Yup, you are good to go! You should see some pics of the 2008 Evo tails. They are ugly.

 

Yea 08 Evo tail's are like a big red blob lol. I'm still thinking about darkening my 2010 tails

 

I followed this guide to swap tail lights with a friend.
I took his 08 tails and my brake light went out after I installed them.
Its a sign............

 

I actually like the all-red tails...

I just did this swap. For the outer housing if you don't have a plastic wedge, just brace your palm against the side of the light with the other hand by the inside where it screws down and ease it forward. Comes out easy enough.

By the looks of things people seem to chip the outer corner of the light when removing because they use something to brace when its not really necessary.

 

congratulations on your skill in mastering a mediocre task, we dont NEED a how to, but it was nice someone made one. as goes for the bov and for oil change. but they are nice to use as references

 

Finally got round to ordering some of these, can't wait

 

I think they need tinted a little bit...
