So I did this install (also a Nisei 1pc) over the weekend. Did it without taking off the bumper. Worst part was getting off the OEM pipe. I had to use a screwdriver, WD40, and channel locks to get the OEM hose off the IC. I made sure to wipe it very clean afterwards. Also very annoying trying loosen the bolts up with a socket (tight fit).

I was really paranoid about how tight to make the T-Bolts. Didn't want a blowoff and didnt want to bend the Aluminum. Seems to be holding up well though.

Jeez guys, stop messing with him like that! I'm sorry they just love sabotaging people on here!

Just make sure to have a large bucket, some shop rags and a pair rubber gloves handy. From what came out of mine it was about five quarts give or take. Be sure as soon as you pull off the front part of the UICP to raise it and pop the bucket underneath.

Goodluck

now I don't know who's messing with me. My old car was an air-liquid intercooler, so it used coolant/water just like a radiator inside the intercooler. Maybe no cars use these anymore? But some intercoolers do have liquid in them, it's true!

I guess the evo is air-air? I really have no idea

hcope316 I glad it fit perfectly. I will be getting my Nesie 1pc next week. I was a little concerned about the installation also.

What's a little mutual humor amongst colleagues? Hehe

Our intercooler is indeed air to air.

May I ask what air to water intercooled car you had?
