mechanical boost gauge

Hi I'm trying to install a stewart warner mechanical boost gauge. I realize there is only one hose that I need to connect. Can anyone tell me where this hose goes, and how I can get it there, and how and where I can connect to electrical wires for the lights.

I'm also going to install a Forge Unos MBC...and it seems to me a lot of guys on this forum are having problems with it. Does anyone know the correct way without throwing codes?

Also it seems to me to be logical to install the boost gauge first.....is this not correct? Otherwise how can you tell what your mbc is set at.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

There is a really good write up on boost gauge installs in the How-To section. All you need to do is put the hard line of the boost gauge through the fire wall and attach a T fitting on the intake manifold vacuum line. Then you can hack into the fuse box under your dash for a power and ground for the light of the gauge.

Use this thread:

But instead of using the solenoid, run the vacuum line in the same route and through the firewall. Make sure it is not pinched at all in the grommet as it will cause inaccurate readings.

I used the write up posted above and worked like a charm....Just make sure that you follow it step by step and that you have enough vac hose to reach
