Noone has batted an eye (although the instructors almost always are pleased to have a set on their side). I do know that BMW CCA requires the instructor to have the same restraints available as the driver (ie. if you have a harness the instructor needs one too).

I installed the Schroth Rallye 4 ASM last night, great harnesses. I dont think you'll have a problem anywhere, as long as you have some type of asm device with the harness. The great thing about the schroth is that they use oem mounting locations, and the rears separate from the front section to accommodate rear seat passengers when off the track.

Solution
I use Schroth 3pt w/inertia reels in my X (and they work great btw). But the EASIEST way to rid your eardrums of the dreadful beep- I use these male seatbelt "slugs" to fool the computer and voila, no beeping They work perfectly...Pm me I can hook you up

only problem with Rallye4 is you wont be able to use hans device, if you want to use hans device then you need to get Profi II FE ASM

whatever Harness are you going to use, if you are going to use/buy a harness bar, don't buy anything but AMS. i have it and the fit is perfect. i went first for some bar from ebay and it was a piece of cra.....

best way is to remove the plug and depress the spring loaded sensor. Then tape it up in the depressed position with electrical tape and zip tie it under the seat. Then you can remove the buckle arm all together. I have my driver side disabled just so I can drive short distances without my belt on.
