Spoiler - Wing Removal how-to

Just did this writeup for my buddies site, thought I would share it on here as well.

I started by heating up the adhesive glue with a hair dryer.

I removed the spoiler using a razor blade after trying with some dental floss at first. If you slide it underneath and slowly push it forward it will cut the tape with ease.

After removing it the adhesive tape is left on the trunk.

I rocked out with my finger and slowly peeled it all off.

After cleaning it all up, I was left with this:

Unfortunately, I didn't have anything decent to plug the holes with so I stuck some rubber grommets in there. Im not happy how they look so Ill be working on a different solution.

I pulled out the two outer-most grommets since they just empty back into the water galley of the trunk to make it look a 'bit' better. That's the jist of it though. Pretty simple, just a bit time consuming.

More in-depth How-to is there:

Looks great. I just got my trunk holes filled in at a body shop. What trunk lid spoiler is that? Rexpeed type 1? Looks great!

That's the stock lip that came on my EVO. I had the mid wing with SSS package. You should be able to buy that directly from Mitsu painted already.
