Great write up!

(I didn't get any virus' from the PDF, fyi)

Question, did you have to remove your front bumper to get the headlights out? I haven't attempted yet, but they look like they are nestled pretty cosy between a lot of things.. Just wondering how hard the removal part is.

Thanks in advance.

Yes you do need to remove the front bumper. I've done it soo many times it takes me about 5 minutes. Just make sure you don't misplace any of the bolts or clips that fasten on top and underneath. Hell, I'd even go as far as putting them all in a cup of some sort because I always found myself walking on the black clips and breaking them.

There are four total bolts that hold your headlight housing to the car. 2 of which are hidden behind the bumper, therefore you need to remove it. Lemme know if you need any other help!

I love your avatar pghdsm That pic was taken over a year ago, the car looks much better now. I'll update my avatar with the avatar I use on a different forum (UtahPACE.com).

Looks TERMINATOR style blacked out. Does this significantly affect how much output your lights have due to less reflection? May be a stupid question, but no one puts a pic up with the lights on.

you can always do what I did with my truck, and make a wall of LEDs for the signal instead of using the reflective surface for a bulb.

example:

My lights Factory:

My lights after I retrofitted in projectors, painted them to match the body, and put 56 LEDs on a painted to match circuitboard:

You can do the same on your X.

Some people have used GOOP. Here's a link to it at advance auto parts.
