How do you remove the plastic inserts on X seats.

Just wondering if anybody has tried this yet. Looking to remove the plastic inserts on the Evo X front seats and wrapping them with Carbon Fiber. Dont like the stock look.

Theres a few different ways:

-pull them apart in either directions
-squeeze them together to make the two lil clips pop
-VERY carefully use a SMALL flat head screwdriver to pop the clips out from the bottom of the inserts
-"wiggle" them til they fall off

Its whatever your in the mood for...

Thats how I figured it out (sorta by accident, a "forced" accident). Then I experimented and found the other ways.

ah this makes tons of sense why when i go to reverse and im looking back and putting weight on it , it makes popping noises.

Ya they're crap. I think the staple issue that some are having is because of those things, they pull on the fabric every time they move. Mitsu/Recaro dropped the ball on that one...
