Careful if you use the vinyl method. Any schmoe can poke their finger through it. perhaps reinforcing the hole from the inside with a small piece of duct tape (or another strong item) first would benefit you.

Aluminum backed tape would be much stronger than duct tape.

Aluminum backed tape, not just to reinforce, but to adhere...? Im new to the covering the holes.. I have a sheet of vinyl. Dont want to damage the paint, so just looking for the best way to adhere them to the trunk??

I was lucky enough to find some plugs at home depot but still have few more to cover. I've looking to buy white vinyl tape everywhere but can't find any

sorry to say but I just used clear tape for now. hope to find some white tape

The plugs are your best bet man, just paint them white.

I picked up some white sheets of vinyl and cut out pieces to cover. Def not an exact paint match.. To paint a piece of vinyl? Thats my next possible step

If you want to go wingless permanently, then bring it to a shop and have them fill in the holes with welds. But this options requires respraying.

If not.. the best way is either duct tape or rubber grommets/plugs.

if you want a temp fix, get vinyl cut at a local shop to round circles, I had a buddy do that, they were able to match pretty darn close to what he has, he then smeared a little bit of clear rtv on the other side, its only temporary, but this helps give it a little extra strength on the inside.

Road Race Engineering has a carbon fiber cover option too.
