Cobb AccessPORT Vent Mount

I just wanted to share with the community a great way to mount your accessPORT without any modifications. I have attached some pics you can get the mount at RadioShack for 20$. Enjoy

Good idea

But for $600, Cobb should really make the AP look more like this..

^^ ..maybe not the best design in the world, but at least it doesn't look like a 20 year old Gameboy =P

I bought a similar mount at Fry's Electronics for my iPhone. Pretty much any GPS mount will work.

Not bad, but wouldn't you rather have AC blowing at you when it's hot?

To me the trade off is worth it. A little fresh air is good for you . I rarely use the AC only when my wife is in the car cant mess up the hair .

But yes it does block the vent if anyone is wondering I actually had to close the vent for it to fit the best so you do kinda loose that vent.

It is the perfect place now if the ODBII port was not in such a crappy spot....a few inches left would be perfect oh well a little cord routing and we will be good

I just tucked the cord into the side panel by the hood release. Not as clean as I'd like but it works.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaanyhoo, the AccessPort was my first mod and I do believe I made a good decision with it. The guy that sold it to me on ebay actually included the vent holder - what a guy!

awesome I just rounded up my cord and stuck it in the fuse bay/ door works great as a holder for the extra cord. clean and simple as I always say could use a twisty tie but ether way its all good.
