Help: Rexpeed 2 pod A-pillar install

Now, all my searching has yielded the question of "how is it supposed to be?" My question is two fold. Does anyone have a picture of the frame without the factory A-pillar installed? I've looked into different ways to create supports on the rexpeed pillar to attach/mount it, but I can't find any pictures of the car without the factory plastic in.

And more importantly. In my constant pursuit of maintaining as OEM a look as possible, I would much prefer to pull the factory pillar off and put the rexpeed in it's place. Has anyone tried just this? I know it's against what rexpeed says, but I want it!

Thanks again to the community for their support during my stay abroad and away from my own car.

Thank you! Do you have any shots from when the stock plastic was off?

Sadly the install won't be until December. Currently deployed.

This is what I did as well. I'll try to upload some pictures of it.

The difficulty with replacing the factory pillar is that there is a clip on the back that using a plastic strap to hold it in place. I'm debating other ways to attach the rexpeed in place of the factory one. I'd prefer against drilling if I have my way. we'll see how it goes!
