Question: Injen CAI

OK, so I bought my 2008 EVO GSR used a few months back. Today, I finished installing my new Injen CAI and upper intercooler piping. All is going well. UNTIL. I'm at the part in the instructions about taking the hoses off the solenoid. Completely baffles me as the pictures are crap quality, and it doesnt state which set of hoses off the solenoid you need to pull off. So mistakingly I pull off the set closest to the front of the car, later realize what I did, go back and fix it, only to FINALLY notice that the previous owner installed a manual boost controller, baffling me even more as the splices in the hoses are kinda screwing with me. I go on with installing everything else and come back to that part. The 2 ports on the back of the solenoid go into the CAI, no problem, got that. Now, my problem is the other 2... which aren't even connected to to anything, just 2 hoses that go into one... then nothing. Another queastion just to make sure this other guy did the boost controller right, is the hose from the BPV supposed to go into that? I hate to sound like a moron but if I don't install something myself I Don't know how it's supposed to be set up. Thank you for any help. Can take pics as well when it gets light out, or i can try a flash light.

Just read a post somewhere on a AMS intake saying the other solenoid port doesn't really do anything, but should have a catch can on it.. is that right?

Alright, after studying the vacuum hose diagram forever, I finally figured out how it looks, but on paper it looks like they are separated odd. I got to looking and I have no idea how the BPV got hooked into the hose for the turbo, this **** was all wacked. After I got the switched back around, I got the hose for the turbo hooked back into the 2-1 hose for the solenoid, but on the diagram it shows that hose splitting from the wastegate to the turbo, and I don't see a split on that hose anywhere, so tomorrow I am going to buy new hoses and get this all straightened out, and take the intake out and make sure the hose is in there right.

Damn, man. Looks like you're hurting so I went out and took some pics.

This is what your setup should look like.

I appreciate the photo's man, is there any way you could get a photo of where the bypass valve connects? Just wanna make sure that this is all hooked up right. Also, if you trace the hose from the solenoid to the turbo, is there a T-fitting on that hose?

AGP intake was the same way. One of the solenoid hoses just stays disconnected. doesnt hurt anything. But with a MBC who knows.
