Help with installing AEM boost gauge

Hello everybody so I went to tackle the install yesterday for my new aem boost gauge. I orginally had an autometer gauge and I just ran the vac line basically from the engine to the cabin which I didn't want tha anymore. I ran the wire the same way though up through the front fender wall but the sensor barely gets inside the engine bay. Any ideas where to secure the sensor at so it doesnt move or any other ideas how I may run the wire. My hands were so cold yesterday I couldn't finish it or else i would of t'd the line and just finished it but I was having second thoughts about the sensor being right there. It looks like it may get wet and I don't know if that is safe.

Thanks

I ran mine through the fender like (I assume) you're suggesting and mounted the sensor underneath the intake box. I had to add ~6ft of wire to the harness to make it happen; as supplied the harness is relatively short.

That's what i figured I am going to have to do. When I get home from work I'm going to try to run it through the firewall probably and see how that works for me.

i ran it the same way as above and added wire to the harness. i would just solder some wire in there to make it longer cause i found it a pain to try and run through the firewall. good luck

I tried today through the firewall and after like 20 mins of twisting and pushing on the grommet I finally got through then I realized there was no way to my hand can fight up there in the cabin to get the hanger and pull it through. Tomorrow I am going to buy additional wire extend it.
