help!! front bumper and grill removal!!

Hello guys,
I need your help in taking out the whole grill , fog lights ,emblem and trim on the bumper. Bout a few months back, while cruisin in the freeway, i hit a raccoon and ruin my right fog and crack my bumper.. called the stealership and ask for how much for a new one and its almost a grand unpainted. I also ask a few body shop here in frisco and believe me its better to buy a new one than to get it fix. So i searched around the net and found a pretty nice priced bumper from a site in the east coast. My question is , is it pretty hard to remove all the trimming in the nose of the bumper?? Has some body
In here posted an step by step ? Again, dont wanna ruin the clipsor whatever that hold the grill etc. Thanks in advance

the black plastic part in the middle of the grill that the emblem is attached to is the hardest thing to remove. its as if mitsu never wanted that piece to be removed. You will definitely break a few bracket/clips but it is possible to remove. you need two people also. lost of things that you need to bend out of the way to get to screws bolts etc.

Removing the bumper is pretty easy...takes me about 15-20 minutes to do it once the front is up in the air. I elevate the front and have the wheels at full lock in one direction as it gives you better access to 3 clips and a bolt in the wheel well on each side.

You can use these directions to get the bumper off...

As far as taking the grille off...haven't done that yet but plan to when I delete the front emblem in the coming months. Looks like the grille and other things are just held on by screws and whatnot so you should be able to yank things off once the bumper is off.

I've seen the video on how to remove thebumper, it looks pretty easy. What im concern about are those trimmings and grills. Just finish searching the forum, did not see any instruction and diagram on how to remove those. Just wanna be safe and not break anything while swapping the pieces to the new bumper.

The bumper im trying to get is just the painted part. All of the black plastic in front and grills would be remove fromthe old one and put on the new one. Just want to play it safe nd not break anything in the process. I thought that removing the black plastic surround on the grill(chrome on mr) would come off as the entire front piece.

Gotcha...I don't know if that middle part is removable but I haven't looked at it that closely so can't give you a definitive answer. You're best bet would be to remove the bumper and examine it to see if it's even possible.

I would assume (total assumption) if they sell the bumper without that middle section it must be removable then.

Thanks jkc213.. was it hard for u to take out those pieces? Just ordered mine the other day and i guess there no way of going back. The body shops here are like the stealerships... they will take ur arm, leg and evreything in between to fix a fixable part of a car...

Sorry for the gravedig but my front bumper cover is cracked and since I need to replace it, I was looking into getting the EVO-R CF front bumper cover but can't seem to figure out how to remove it. Do I just pull it out by force?

It's the CF piece in the middle.

U use some long nose pliers and compress them the middle portion will pop right off and just take them out, reuse when installing the center grille. Bumper needs to be off the car.

Just did this the other day and can provide some detail You'll need to take the bumper off to remove the center grille or grille surround. Once you have the bumper off, it's easy but time consuming as there are about 40 philips screws holding the surround to the bumper and the center piece to the surround.
