The one you linked is the 9780.z5 - is that the part number for the same model as the pp2000? Those labels seem much more common (and cheaper) and from I can tell they are the same thing (but the ones labeled p2000 also have an extra 30 pin cable).

Lexia vs MUT-III

This maybe a stupid question, but will a MUT-III unit do all the enable/disable things the Lexia does? For example: disable TPMS? (I searched and found nothing definite).

I only ask, since I should soon have access to a MUT-III (hopefully)...

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure they don't.

The Lexia is interfacing with ETACS / safety and security. The MUT tool can access some of the functions, but probably doesn't know how to access those items (especially since TPMS is now federally required).

OK - I think I figured it out. The pp2000 is the software that is included with it. 9780.z5 is the model and you can see it stamped on the main unit. If you see that stamped on the unit you are looking at and all cable look to be included then you should be good to go.

I just ordered one, so I'll update when I know more.

I kinda figured that was the case. I was hoping that someone with a MUT tool had tried this and might know for sure.

So with that being said, anybody interested in loaning out their Lexia for a bit or have one available close to the Pittsburgh area and up to meet? I'd be willing to do a whole cost rental with a percentage back when the unit is returned.
